MORLEY HELPS DANCE
STUDIO FIND ITS FEET
It’s no secret that Morley MD
Ian Short is passionate about dance,
after storming to victory at last
year’s Variety Strictly Ballroom event
and raising over £20,000 for the
charity he has accepted a position
on the judging panel for this year’s
competition. Now, he is helping
others discover a love for dance by
lending his support to local dance
studio Freedom 2 Dance.
Not only has Morley donated
new glass for the frontage of the
Castleford dance studio, along
with child safe blinds, it is also
sponsoring a new dance scholar-
ship to help dancers with potential
to take their ability to the next
level with the opportunity to enter
the competitive world of Ballroom
& Latin Dance.
The dance school has selected
two dancers with natural talent to
benefit from the 12-month schol-
arship that will not only develop
dance skills but also help them
in confidence and self-esteem, as
well as improving other vital inter-
personal skills.
OPEN DAY CELEBRATES
REFURBISHMENT OF SIG

Hundreds of local roofing contractors turned out to
celebrate the official re-launch of SIG Roofing’s Bath branch
recently following a major refurbishment of the outlet.
The special open day
gave roofers the opportu-
nity to see the significant
improvements that have
been made to the branch
as part of SIG Roofing’s
commitment to enhance the
quality of service it provides
its customers.
The new look branch
features a brand new show-
room and trade counter,
showcasing the wide range
of roofing solutions that SIG
supplies the local market.

tant branch manager at SIG
Roofing Bath, said: “We
were absolutely delighted
with the number of custom-
ers that joined us on our
open day to celebrate the
branch refurbishment and
to enjoy a bacon butty and a
cup of tea with us!”
As well as SIG Roofing’s
range of roofing products, a
number of fantastic promo-
tional offers were available
on the day for customers to
take advantage of, with sup-
pliers including Velux and
FIX-R also on-hand doing
product demonstrations.

TuffX gears up
for growth with
£200k machinery
investment
Glass processing spe-
cialist TuffX has announced
the purchase of a second
Bovone ELB 12 HS straight
line edging (SLE) machine,
a £200,000 investment that
marks a key stage of devel-
opment for the company as
it plans for significant future
growth.
TuffX already has an iden-
tical Bovone SLE machine
at its state-of-the-art factory
in Knowsley, Merseyside,
which was installed in
August last year. A 12-wheel
straight line edger that is
designed to produce flat and
arris profile, Bovone has en-
hanced the ELB HS – a ‘high
speed’ machine that can
process glass at 4 metres a
minute – so that it can pro-
duce greater volume whilst
still retaining the highest
possible quality of finish.
TuffX operations direc-
tor, John Tierney, was so
impressed by the speed
and consistent high qual-
ity of the Bovone ELB HS
that he contacted the Glass
Machinery Company, who
supplied and installed the
first machine, and requested
a second one in order to
further improve the compa-
ny’s product offering and
customer service.
