The GGF is the primary trade association for companies that make, supply or fit flat glass and related products representing more than 60% of the industry’s turnover. In the report the financial section shows the GGF has remained financially stable throughout the year with the number and the value of members’ subscriptions remaining fairly constant. The report also highlights the political, technical, marketing and legislative work the federation has undertaken during the period. Nigel Rees, GGF chief executive commented: “I thank all our members for their support and can assure them that the federation will continue to do its utmost to deliver the benefits and customer service to help our members cope with the challenges ahead.” For further information, contact the director of GGF marketing and communications on 020 7939 9114, e-mail [email protected]. co.uk or Natasha Erskine, GGF, marketing and communications executive, 020 7939 9128, e-mail [email protected] http://www.ggf.org.uk New Group Will Share Wisdom Following structural change at the Glass & Glazing Federation (GGF), a number of core brands have banded together to comprise a dynamic new industry conglomerate called Helix Group. Previously operating as separate subsidiaries, each with their own remit and management, companies such as FENSA, BFRC, GGFi and Borough IT now form part of the Helix family along with relative newcomers such as the inspection body RISA. The industry trainer GGF Training will also come under the Helix umbrella and will be known as Helix Training. All of the companies will now have unprecedented access to shared resources, experience and knowledge. Together the individual companies and the group itself can reap the rewards of continuing innovation and up-tothe-minute technology as well as decades of combined wisdom, so exceeding what would have been possible as individual entities. Helix Group is wholly owned by the GGF and comes under the stewardship of group chief executive Jon Vanstone at the new business premises in Rushworth Street. Jon commented: “The organisations that comprise Helix Group already share values and objectives concerning consumer protection, raising standards and general advancement of industry. “In allowing these companies to maintain brand integrity whilst coming together under a shared banner, knowledge, ideas and experience can be extrapolated across the group for the benefits of each company and associated customers. Through this level of shared knowledge and skill, Helix Group will become much more than the sum of its parts.” Further information on Helix Group and its composite brands can be found at www.thehelixgroup.co.uk MYGLAZING.COM TOPS 100,000 VISITORS The Glass and Glazing Federation (GGF) consumer website MyGlazing.com has surpassed its online and PR targets set last September when the site was launched.
