NEW MULTIPOINT LOCKING
SYSTEM LAUNCHED
Nico Manufacturing, leading UK manufacturer of window products, has
expanded its range of high security
locking systems with the launch of
the Nico RAM.
Designed, manufactured and assembled at
Nico’s UK production facility, the Nico RAM
is a cost-effective multipoint locking system
with bidirectional cams at each end of the
locking bar. The longest two sizes also feature a central cam.
In operation, the outer pairs of mushroom
cams travel outwards into specially designed
security keeps, which provide anti-jemmy
protection from any direction.
For maximum corrosion protection and attractive silver finish, it is plated with Nico Supercoat 500, which provides over 480 hours
salt spray resistance (BS EN1670 Class 5).
The Nico RAM locking system is available
in five sizes up to 1150mm. Adjustable cams
and a wide selection of keeps, make it suitable for most popular window profiles.
The Nico RAM Locking System is approved
to BBA, Secured by Design and meets the
requirements of PAS 24.
The Nico RAM is part of Nico’s comprehensive range of window and door hardware,
which also includes a selection of different
Locking Systems, Friction Hinges and Door
Hinges.

Getting a Hold on Pull Handles
UAP Limited has entered the growing pull
handle market with its offering of corrosion
resistant stainless steel pull handles.
To launch the new line,
UAP is releasing a
range of satin stainless
steel straight length
pull handles. These
incorporate UAP’s
Nanocoast® technology and so come with a
free lifetime guarantee
against surface corrosion.
UAP consulted with several door manufacturers
during the design process
to ensure the handles met
the desired specifications
of the majority, and didn’t
have any downfalls that may
be present on pull handles
currently on the market.
‘A good quality
product’
The result of this research is a range of high
quality pull handles that
are produced from 1.5mm
grade 304 stainless steel,
have a 38mm diameter for a
sturdier construction and an
easier grip for people with
limited hand movements,
and three different fitting
options.
