UK CUSTOMERS
ARE WARMING TO
PATIO ENCLOSURES
Patio enclosures are becoming increasingly popular in the
UK, according to Czech Republic fabricator Alukov.
The company is currently
promoting its patio enclosures to the British market
and reports that UK customers love its products which
‘create beautiful spaces
protected from the weather.’
Alukov, which has a UK office
in Godalming, Surrey, has been
selling its Corso enclosure across
Europe for a decade but only
started developing the UK market
for patio enclosures a couple
of years ago. The company has
exhibited at Grand Design Live
shows in Birmingham and will
be at the Homebuilding and
Renovating Show at the NEC in
Birmingham from April 14 to 17.
Alukov’s original plan was to
manufacture aluminium door
and window frames but as the
market demands grew reflecting
economic development in the
Czech Republic, the company
began to specialise in manufacturing telescopic swimming pool
enclosures. The first series of
swimming pool enclosures was
created in 1995.
Currently the business has three
enclosure programmes - Home
Programme for patio enclosures,
Pool Programme which has more
than 30 models and Spa Programme for spa enclosures.
Since 1995 Alukov has produced
over 22,000 pieces. The high production capacity (around 3,000
per year) of its facilities makes
the company one of the leading
manufacturers of swimming pool,
spa and patio enclosures. In its
field, Alukov ranks among key
developers in terms of innovative
swimming pool enclosures worldwide. Every year the company
presents its clients with new enclosure models and new technical
product solutions.
All enclosure systems manufactured by Alukov are exported to
the EU and other European countries as well as Asia and the USA.
The company, which offers a
wide range of enclosure models,
says its products are characterised
by outstanding quality, reliability,
timeless design and ease of use.
UK manager Alzbeta Murray
said: “We have teams of people
who transport and install the enclosures - unless customers want
to install them themselves, and if
they do, we can train their staff
to do so.
“Every enclosure is bespoke.
This way we can find a solution
for any client. The Corso patio enclosure is available in aluminium
profiles in white, beige, silver, anthracite, cobalt blue and antique
brown. Timber effect is available
for an extra charge.”
All patio enclosures are aluminium structures filled with
polycarbonate in the roof and
6mm toughened glass in all sides.
The high quality polycarbonate is
UV protected. It will not change
colour or get brittle as the years
go by. Polycarbonate is specially
designed and tested for hailstone conditions and has got the
EU wide guarantee for up to 15
years.
Every enclosure is lockable,
telescopic and is made with
a unique dual sealing system
where sealing rubber is not
touching the polycarbonate so it
will not scratch it while sliding.
