TuffX said the installer loved the innovation of the Ambi Fusion Solid product which allows great flexi- bility in the design choice compared to other tiled roof systems on the market. The idea of this product being able to be glazed into any standard roof system which is quick and easy to install is the appeal, without the extra tradesmen and costs passed onto the homeowner. Ambi Fusion glass comes as standard with self-clean- ing properties, excellent thermal insulation of 1.1 u value, a solar heat reflection of 78% and light transmission of 7%. The homeowner was looking to replace a polycarbonate roof and had looked into alternative solid roof systems on the market but chose Ambi Fusion because of the benefits offered. They found the idea of being able to place the Fusion white and glass combinations into the problematic areas was the appeal to allow light to flood the room. TuffX MD Graham Price said: “It’s great to see our customers embracing our new products allowing them to be different from other competitors in the market.” NIA focuses on new build and commercial www.tuffxglass.co.uk A great deal of media attention and policy development in the insulation sector is focused on retrofitting existing domestic buildings. However, there is tremendous untapped potential for insulation in the new build, SME and commercial markets. The National Insulation Association (NIA) has identified a gap in the market and the need for an industry body to educate specifiers and building owners in these sectors on the benefits of insulation and the solutions available. It should also make recommendations to government and other key stakeholders on new policies to stimulate activity in these particular sectors. Therefore, the NIA is announcing the formation of a dedicated new working group within the association, which will comprise of industry experts in these market sectors to take this work forward. Organisations interested in NIA Membership should contact Bev Hodson at the NIA bev. [email protected]
