The new Showa TEMRES 281 glove, by Globus, a world
leader in protecting hands, has been chosen by The Tile
Association (TTA) as a finalist for the ‘Best Innovation’
category within their prestigious annual awards.
TEMRES 281 is the world’s
first waterproof and breathable polyurethane protective
glove. It is ideal for the tiling
sector as hands are protected against water ingress
by an impervious barrier,
while moisture and water is
allowed to disperse to the
outside simultaneously. As
a result, the hand is allowed
to breathe, any accumulation
of perspiration and bacteria
inside the glove is negated
and a more comfortable
wearing experience results
for the user.
Keeping hands comfortable
while wearing gloves is a problem
experienced by workers across
many industries, after all it’s only
natural that hands will sweat
when they are covered for long
periods. This often means gloves
are discarded leaving the worker
unprotected. By retaining comfort
the glove is likely to be left on to
protect the worker.
The technology within the
glove which allows comfort and
protection over long periods is an
advanced composite nylon and
polyurethane liner, with an inner
foam membrane and micro-ventilated polyurethane coating.
This provides a comfortable and
breathable layer of protection
while, at the same time, providing
a barrier to prevent liquids entering the glove. Those who wear
the Showa TEMRES 281 glove can
work effectively as handling precision and good grip performance
can be achieved.
The glove is durable and can be
washed offering users both value-for-money and longevity. The
Showa TEMRES 281 glove can also
be used for protection and good
grip in other wet handling tasks.
