G18 Victory For
Virtuoso Doors
Virtuoso Doors was in a jubilant
mood as it picked up the winning trophy
for ‘Promotional Campaign of the Year’ at
the recent G18 Awards. The awards topped
off a historic 2018 for Virtuoso Doors -- the
best year ever in its 37-year history.
The prize was awarded to Virtuoso Doors
for its fully integrated marketing campaign
– ‘Crafted Precision’, which helped the
brand to achieve phenomenal growth of
more than 50% in 2018. Unveiling a new
company name and a bold new look for Vir-
tuoso Doors, the campaign skillfully raised
Virtuoso’s profile and helped to establish
the business as a major player in the com-
posite door market.
In awarding Virtuoso Doors, the G18
judges described the ‘Crafted Precision’
campaign as “a unique campaign that
delved behind the actual product producing
an impressive return on investment.”
Virtuoso has invested heavily in new
product development in the last 12 months
and much of its recent success is credited
to Virtu-AL – the ultra-modern aluminium
textured, non-woodgrain finish composite
door – and its newly launched aluminium
outer frame.

(SWA) member, West Leigh, has
won the gratitude and admira-
tion of a client local to its south
London premises, for the quality
of the firm’s W20 window and
door package which completed
the renovation and re-configura-
tion of an old Victorian tannery
building.
Dating from 1850, Number 3
Tanner Street in Bermondsey
was purchased by Sanjay Sharma
ten years ago with the intention
of turning it into a permanent
home for himself and his family.
Despite the property having un-
dergone a 1980s refurbishment
which concealed many of the
property’s original features, San-
jay and his architect could see
the potential for opening and
extending the building while
restoring its character.
Having carried out a phase one
renovation in 2008, Sanjay and
his main contractor, Kraft Elec-
trical, have now completed the
transformation; with the SWA’s
West Leigh having produced a be-
spoke package of W20 windows
and doorsets to replace the old
timber sash windows.
Close to London Bridge
station and lying within the
Bermondsey conservation area,
the Tanner Street property has
a floor area of 5,000 sq ft, pro-
viding Sanjay with a fully open
plan office on the ground floor,
while the bedrooms, as well as
a study and gymnasium, are on
the next two levels.
There are three more door-
sets in the rear elevation above
ground floor level, plus six double
glazed steel windows; all finished
in RAL 7015 Slate Grey Matt. The
front elevation retains the original
timber front door but has a total
of seven more W20 windows now
filling the old openings.

Business Micros Track it Retail
Software Transforms Efficiency
When experienced Busi-
ness Development Manager
Ian Young joined Newry based
Mourne Windows back in May
one of his first tasks was to put
in place a CRM system which
would enable the specialist
retail installer to track every
single order right through from
lead to warranty.
Up until then, the team at
Mourne were working via
standalone spreadsheets which,
while effective, were not particu-
larly efficient. Having reviewed
the various options on the mar-
ket, Ian chose the Business Mi-
cros Track IT retail software, and
the long-established company is
already seeing the benefits.
One of the key advantages of
Track IT is that it works directly
with the Business Micros’ Evo-
Satellite remote pricing and or-
dering software which Mourne
already uses from one of its
suppliers, effectively providing
a single, fully integrated CRM,
pricing and ordering solution.
Ian Young is very satisfied that
he made the right choice. He
says: “Track IT was the only op-
tion we looked at which works
alongside EvoSatellite. That gives
us a huge advantage in terms
of being able to get up to the
minute information on any as-
pect of any order or quote, while
also managing and tracking our
entire sales operation.”
Since the system went live
in October, the 20 plus team at
Mourne have been using Track
IT to log leads, input orders,
schedule appointments and
installations, and monitor cus-
tomer contact. Each of them has
remote access to the system and
can view calendars, customer
lists, and management and user
reports on laptops, tablets or
mobiles.
