15 PRO INSTALLER DECEMBER 2015 PRO NEWS @proinstaller1 Exhibition pulls in ‘genuine business’ for installers A team from Roof Assured by Sarnafil says the Homebuilding and Renovating Show at Harrogate International Centre created ‘genuine business’ enquiries for its network of installers. More than 10,000 visitors came through the show’s doors to source new products, get expert advice and browse the aisles of the UK’s biggest self building and renovating event. This was the fourth Homebuilding and Renovating Show for Roof Assured this year and will continue to be part of its events schedule in 2016. Charles Pierce, Head of Roof Assured, said: “The Homebuilding and Renovating Shows give us huge visibility and generate a high level of interest with one of our target audiences – the homebuilder and renovator. They generate excellent enquiries from people with real projects on the go and create genuine business enquiries for our network of registered installers.” Feedback from the team on the Roof Assured stand shows that the quality of leads generated was a mix of current, future and planning stage enquiries about flat roof solutions. The stand team also enjoyed conversations with architects and surveyors. Bob Newall, Business Development Manager, Roof Assured by Sarnafil, said: “Visitors to the stand have either heard about the Sarnafil membrane from their architects and come to learn more about the brand and the membrane for themselves. New guide offers clarity and detail A new specifiers guide has been published by Sheerframe Ltd to provide a handy and comprehensive product specification reference source. The guide is meant for use by architects and designers for residential or commercial building applications, trade fabricator partners and professional window industry installers. It summarises the calcium organic stabilised PVCu window and door product range. Sheerframe 8000, Sheerframe 7000 and Sheerframe 6000 options are clearly presented and thermal performance detailed for the most popular profile and insulated glass configurations, which are capable of delivering U-values as low as 0.8 W/m2K. Also included are sections highlighting Sheerframe curtain walling, tilt and turn windows, top reversible windows, Thermlock reinforcements, residential, composite, bifold and French doors and associated Hometrim cellular roofline, cladding products, window boards and trims. Flood door solutions and hands-on design service support for curtain walling and structural items are also itemised. They are particularly interested to hear about the company’s Swiss heritage and the fact that some of its earliest roofs are now over 50 years old.” Tony Poole, also on the stand, added: “Exhibiting at the shows gives us a platform to bridge the connection between the excellent reputation of the Sika Sarnafil brand and the Roof Assured flat roofing solution. The installation demo always attracts attention as it really demonstrates the expertise and high performance of the Sarnafil single ply membrane.” www.roofassured.co.uk
