Direct Glazing in Ascot is using the product range and customer service from Essex based Iceni Windows to help it win new business towards the top end of the market where activity remains relatively buoyant.
Direct Glazing is successfully using Iceni’s foiled windows in the REHAU TOTAL70 system to target customers replacing timber in upmarket properties across Berkshire and Surrey.
Recent installations show foiled windows in Golden Oak and black on white finish successfully replicating stained timber windows to provide the homeowners with energy efficient, low maintenance alternatives, which preserve the essential character of their homes. Distinction has taken a lot of trouble over its decorative glass offering for the composite door, providing designs that cover both the traditional as well as modern and contemporary styles, and all coloured to complement the colours within the composite door range.

Regional CPD seminars launched
The Association for Specialist Fire Protection (ASFP) has announced plans for a series of regional CPD seminars around the UK, starting in Manchester on 26th September 2013.
Aimed at improving awareness of passive fire protection, Understanding Passive Fire Protection will offer an essential overview into all aspects of passive fire protection, its specification, installation, inspection and maintenance. The presentations will cover all aspects of passive fire protection, testing and certification, fire risk assessment and installation. Delivered by technical experts, the presentations will include an overview of risks in buildings in relation to passive fire protection; and introductions to fire doors, fire-resistant glazing, structural fire protection, compartment wall penetrations and firestopping. Held in association with the British Woodworking Federation (BWF) and Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue, the first event will take place at Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service Headquarters, Swinton, Manchester.
