A Linguistically Enriching Movie Trip
It was a refreshing start after the Spring Break when on the 24th of April, students of Years 9 and 10 visited the cinema to watch an enthralling performance by a stellar cast in ‘The Professor and the Madman’.
Students understood the importance of the storyline as it detailed the process of compilation of the Oxford Dictionary that was a dream turned into reality by the main characters as they fought personal battles on their own in the context of the history of the world evolving around them. The importance of collaboration and the drive to achieve one’s dream while being immersed in a world of words enhanced students’ learning of the English language and renewed their love for language.
