Earth Day
On 22nd April 2019, students of Pristine Private School contributed their bit towards green environment. All non-essential electricity, including A/C that emit CFC were turned off. The entire school welcomed the earth hour and was in complete determination to make a difference on a large scale through various activities.
As part of Environmental Management lesson, we created sketches of sustainable houses that we would want to live in. This was an activity many students enjoyed as they considered every detail of the house to be made or function of clean resources. We got inspiration from books in the library and our previous trip to the Solar Decathlon. The experience made us realize how depend we were on our mobile devices and technology Students came up with ideas for sustainable and environment friendly houses like glass beads that are responsible for thermal regulation in bedrooms, a device that turns hot water into cold water while creating electricity, chargers for electric cars and lights that signal temperatures of water.
As a whole this day is dedicated towards saving the Earth was a great learning experience for the school and the world itself.
