The chevron reading cup is a very effective competition held annually to enhance the reading skills of students organised by the Emirates Airlines Festival of literature. Pristine Rowling, our school team was one among the twenty finalist teams of Dubai. Teams of four students studied six books written by the contemporary authors.
On the 4th of March 2019, they attended the final round at Intercontinental Hotel, festival City, Dubai. All four students portrayed good team morale and created strategies to achieve success. The three rounds ended with a close tie, fourth round was held to decide the winner, International Private School bagged the first position.
The prize giving ceremony ended with briefing from Kathy Hoopmann the author of Elemental Island, who shared her experience of writing the book.
