Throughout my journey in Taqaddam, I came across with experiences far greater than I initially expected. It was a learning curve unlike any other, fulfilling its goal of equipping the youth with a wide set of enduring personal and professional strengths and skills that will help enable them to lead successful and fulfilling lives. Towards the end of the journey, we put what we learnt into action by innovating solutions that help the community with members of our team. My team and I came up with the idea of "Streaders"; a shoe that can sustainably generate electricity with each step, enough to charge up a power bank. It can also locate the user to a trusted smart device and help keep track of the user's health. We displayed our innovation in the Make It Happen event that was held on 25th April 2019 in Bahi Ajman Palace Hotel, Ajman with various other like-minded attendees from different schools. Taqaddam has taught me that it is not about the destination, but rather about the journey. I am undoubtedly grateful to be given this opportunity and platform. The skills I have acquired, people I have met, and memories I have made, will stay with me long after this experience.
