PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE

Dear Parents,

I am delighted that the Academic Year 2018-19 has been a year full of achievements and celebrations for the PPS community. The overall development of our students is exemplary right from Foundation Stage to A Level. High scores in both external and internal assessments along with many awards earned in several competitions both locally and globally have made us proud.

PPS indeed is a school driven by passion, commitment, and high expectation. The sole purpose is to nurture committed and compassionate global citizens who can make a difference in the life of individuals and aspire to create a better world. We try our best to create reflective learners who can forge ahead in life with full confidence.

Annual DSIB inspections validated that our students’ attainment and progress are exceptionally strong in English, Mathematics, and Science with very good learning skills being developed in all the four phases. They are independent learners who collaborate and make confident and meaningful use of technology. Our students display a mature and responsible attitude and celebrate cultural diversity befitting the attributes of a global citizen. They recognize that their individual achievements can help in the creation of a harmonious environment.

Though students in all phases are confident and articulate presenters to the audience, the high-quality discovery curriculum in FS has led to outstanding students’ attainment in that phase.

With all school leaders being highly committed to promoting innovation, the school promotion of a culture of innovation is systematic which is the highest level of attainment as per DSIB standards. All these achievements cannot be possible without the commitment and support of our teachers, middle and senior leaders. I would like to take this opportunity to thank them for their relentless efforts.

Out of the endless list of awards, it gives me great pleasure to share our achievement in the Tatawwar program 2019 initiated by HSBC and British Council where our Year 10 student secured the first position in the final phase conducted in Oman. Also, our students won the first position in the prestigious Cambridge Secondary Science competition for the MENA region and received Gold certificates.

I would like to request all parents to continue strengthening a positive home-school partnership. Kindly utilise the summer break to spend quality time with your children. Create opportunities for them to read and participate in activities that enhance their skills further.
