A Fallen Limb Memories Of You
A limb has fallen from the family tree.
I keep hearing a voice that says, “Grieve not for me.”
Remember the best times, the laughter, the song.
The good life I lived while I was strong. I remember everything
Continue traditions, no matter how small.
Go on with your life, don’t worry about falls
I miss you all dearly, so keep up your chin.
Until the day comes we’re together again.

your voice, your smile,
your touch,
the way you walked,
the way you talked,
the way you looked at me,
meant so much.
I remember all the words
you said to me,
some funny, some kind,
some wise,
all of the things
you did for me,
I see now with different eyes.
Do Not Stand at My Grave
I remember every moment
we shared,
Do not stand at my grave and weep, seems like only yesterday,
I am not there; I do not sleep. or maybe it was eons ago,
I am a thousand winds that blow, It’s really hard to say.
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sun on ripened grain, You are gone from me now,
I am the gentle autumn rain. but one thing they can’t
When you awaken in the morning’s hush take away,
I am the swift uplifting rush your memory resides
Of quiet birds in circling flight. inside my heart,
I am the soft star-shine at night. and lights up my darkest days.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there; I did not die.
