National monitoring of child and forced labour of the cotton harvest in 2016 • Council of the Federation of Trade Unions in agreement with ministries and departments had formed 13 regional working groups which include representatives of the Federation of Trade Unions, Chamber of Commerce, Youth movement "Kamolot", as well as number of the NGOs. • The National monitoring included visits to companies, organizations and institutions, farms, cotton fields which have been chosen randomly. • As of 12 October 2016 the monitors has carried out 195 visits in various districts and cities of the Uzbekistan. During these visits, the analysis of the state of affairs had been done in 264 farms, 118 vocational colleges, 5 high schools, 167 secondary schools, 33 preschools, 13 subjects small business entities, 115 health facilities, 61 city (district) councils, 21 villages and 22 mahallas. • During the monitoring 26,008 kilometers had been covered and monitoring teams have had 2764 interviews on the basis of the ILO application forms.
