The following shortages and problems revealed: • • • • presence of five minor children in the cotton fields had been revealed, three of which had been involved in the cotton harvest; -six educational institutions of secondary vocational education have had a relatively low attendance (70-93%); cotton pickers resided in three vocational colleges and one rural health unit; 50 farms failed to create decent conditions of work and rest (lack of sanitary facilities, inappropriate food and drinking water provided, late payment of labour). Measures : • Relevant operational and legal measures had taken to address them. • Children seen in the cotton field had been were removed from the field and their reintegration in the educational institutions had been ensured. Two cases were reported to the District Labour Departments.
