You see it on Facebook, Instagram, on the news and your
community… scary injuries related to cosmetology services.
Cosmetologists and the government agree that beauty
services create public health and safety risks for both the
employee and the client...but what are they in reality? We
will examine the real risks from infection to injury with all the
gross photos to reinforce that the risks are real. We will look
at prevention and safety strategies to encourage safe services
and a long, lucrative career. Beauty school instructors will all
receive a jump drive that includes the presentation they can
use in the classroom, along with handouts and other materials.
This will help stress the importance of sanitation to students
as they prepare to enter the “real world”.

Brain Games: The Enrichment Commitment
SUNDAY 10:00 - 11:00a
W223A
Individuality has never been more important in our
educational community – today’s generation of learners is a
generation of individuals. In every aspect of their lives, their
individualism is celebrated. To educators, this translates
into a need to zig and zag to personalize learning for each
and every learner. Educators need to be mindful of these
learning differences and fuel their teaching with tools that
work. Effective educators will use strategies based on
critical thinking skills, case studies and relevant situational
scenarios to enrich the learning process. Classrooms that
are wired, focused on content and inspired by momentum
lead the way in today’s learning environment.
