you specific exercises to remain healthy and avoid injuries while treating your clients.

In this presentation, participants will learn the definition of exercise and stretching. Mike will describe the
sensory receptors in muscles, the myotatic stretch reflex and the three layers of fascia in muscle.
A demonstration of various therapeutic stretches will be done.

Intro to Bodywork for PTSD

The power of healthy touch is needed more today than ever. Matthew will help the massage professional
gain an understanding of what Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is; as well as what can be done to
help. We will explore what our role is, as well as our scope, in the healing process. This intro class will
cover some fundamentals in anatomy & physiology, and will correspond with hands-on techniques. We
will discuss how our touch can have a positive influence on the nervous system and what that means to
our clients dealing with trauma. We will demonstrate some of the techniques learned in the full version of
the workshop in addition to helping you learn keys to decoding your clients and their stress signals.
