Preach Magazine Issue 1 - Creativity and innovation in preaching | Page 4

4 WELCOME From your editor… Hello and welcome to the first ever edition of Preach magazine! W e have been dreaming and planning and working for months and are so excited that we can finally reveal the fruit of our labours. Whether you preach every week, or once in a blue moon, we are hopeful you will find plenty to interest, inform and inspire you within these pages. Preach magazine was born from a desire to better fulfil the mission and objectives of the Leaders of Worship and Preachers Trust (www.lwpt.org.uk). These are to support preachers and leaders of worship through grants, information and in particular, resources. In the past, we’ve produced Ichthus magazine, which contained some resources, but also a lot of charity news that wasn’t necessarily of wide appeal or relevance to preachers. Ichthus continues to exist as a charity newsletter, but all our preaching content from now on will be in this magazine and online at www.preachweb.org. Every issue of Preach will have a main theme. Our first issue explores the topic of creativity and innovation. How can we stay fresh and interesting in our sermons? How creative do you have to get to communicate to your particular context?
