Nischay Here Means to Follow This and Not

Questioner: I am not yet able to do the kind of
pratikraman that is called for.
Dadashri: You should make a firm resolution (nischay)
for whatever you want to do.
Questioner: To do the ‘nischay’ involves the ego of
‘doership,’ does it not? What is that? Can you please explain?
Dadashri: That is merely use of words, just to say it.
Questioner: Many of the mahatmas are under the
impression that they do not have to do a thing, including making
nischay (firm resolution).
Dadashri: No, if they were to ask me, I would ask them
how they can make that resolution (nischay) without the ego.
That nischay is a decision. It means that when you undertake
something, you do it in a certain way and not the other way. We
cannot say that it is a wrong belief, can we? But we can get the
idea across through the medium of words, otherwise they would
not understand, would they? And yet, this reaches them.
Can Pratikraman Be Done Later?
Questioner: I am unable to do ‘shoot-on-sight’
pratikraman when I am under stress, and sometimes it is not
until the evening that I realize that I have made a mistake. Can
