Dear PPMI Participant,
As a member of The Michael J. Fox Foundation’s PPMI team, I am
integrally involved in the day-to-day management of the study. In
my role, I also get a seat at the table with all of the researchers,
logistics managers, coordinators and industry partners who are all
collaborating on PPMI. I am constantly on the phone, in meetings
and emailing back and forth about the many details and decisions
that need to be made to continue to make progress toward
finding a biomarker for PD.
However, despite the many of us behind the scenes who are
working tirelessly to make the study happen, our efforts would
be for naught if it weren’t for you. I remain in awe of each of you
who give up time and energy (and blood and CSF!) to make all of
this possible. When I think about the thousands of samples and all
of the data pouring into the PPMI database already, I am excited
about the possibilities for PD research.
Thank you for everything you are contributing to PPMI. On behalf
of all us working on this study, I hope you know how much we
appreciate everything you are doing to make this work possible.
