Winter is the time where the dinner celebrations are amplified, treats are flowing, and comfort food sounds oh-so-comforting. Bikinis, running shoes and smoothies are easily (and stylishly) replaced with over-sized sweaters, cozy slippers and piles of warm pancakes.

I’m here to say, you can have all of the latter, and still stay fit, healthy and energetic by choosing to eat healthfully all year long, baby!

1. Become part of a community. There's strength in numbers!

2. Eat well! Eating a clean, plant-based diet will give you the energy you need to stay motivated and keep moving. Your energy will be limitless.

3. Move daily. 10 minutes, 30 minutes or 2 hours; however long it may be, movement is beneficial!

Enjoy each and every season for what it is. Don't wish it away. With a little thoughtfulness and planning, you'll feel positive, grounded and energetic every day!
