Lily discovered what she now calls "the sport she’s been looking for all her life" just by chance, while taking part in a boot camp at Valhalla Strength and Conditioning gym in Sechelt, BC. She sparked the attention of coach Curtis Munson who spotted her potential talent for powerlifting and asked if she’d be interested in competing.

With the support of her new coach, and her belief in achieving great things Lily set out on a new training regimen. She looked at the current records and remembers thinking, “I can do that.” Her history in athletic involvement helped cement her faith in this new endeavor – consistently placing in the top eight in the province for discus and hammer throw, javelin, and dance. Her life is fueled by energetic movement and her foundation is built in strength both mentally and physically. She credits maintaining a positive mindset and belief in the importance of going after new goals.
