Philippians 1:27: “Whatever happens, conduct yourselves in a
manner worthy of the gospel of Christ. Then, whether I come
and see you or only hear about you in my absence, I will know
that you stand firm in the one Spirit, striving together as one
for the faith of the gospel.”
her story
Mackenzie is dedicated to putting her all into everything
she does, especially when it comes to school. She explained,
“Attending an academically advanced school my whole life has
really encouraged me to always do my best. Working alongside
classmates and under instructors who truly value education
and the pursuit of knowledge has pushed me beyond my limits
more times than I can count.” At LAMP, she is a member of
National Honor Society, National Chinese Honor Society, and
Mu Alpha Theta. Outside of her academics, Mackenzie is the
co-captain for LAMP’s Lady Tiger basketball team, and serves
on her church’s Student Leadership Team.

Mackenzie plans to attend Auburn University. She shared, “I
want to study secondary education mathematics and become a
high school teacher, then work for my master’s in special edu-
cation. I have a passion and a desire to work with people who

myself doing anything else.”
PG (parental guidance) rating
" The thing I appreciate the most about my family is their
constant support, from school, to sports, to music. They have
supported me wholeheartedly every step of the way; and for
that, I’m eternally grateful."
parents’ perspective
Tracey shared, “Mackenzie has never been one to follow the crowd.
However, what I admire the most is her faith in God and how much
she enjoys sharing the gospel with anyone and everyone.”
parent-to-parent
“Support your children in all they attempt. Even if you
do not feel it’s the best thing for them, let them try.
Sometimes it’s best for them to learn on their own! We
can only guide them in the right direction.”
