About: Macon East Academy is an independent, Christian
college preparatory school focused on excellence in academics,
athletics, and achievement to prepare students for success in
college and beyond in a caring and nurturing environment
Class Size: K3-K4 up to 16; Kindergarten-6th up to 20; 7th-
12th up to 25
Academics: Honors and/or Advanced Placement courses are
offered in Art, English, History and Sciences beginning freshman
year. Dual Enrollment is offered as well. Macon East is dedicated
to a learning environment utilizing the tools and resources of
the 21st century by providing a 1:1 Apple iPad program for all
students in grades K5 to 12. All K3 and K4 students have access
to iPod Touch devices for daily use in the classroom.
Athletics: Macon East students are able to participate in over 21
sports including baseball, basketball, cheerleading, football, golf,
soccer, softball, and volleyball. Macon East has won numerous
regional and state championships, and most recent athletic achieve-
ments include 2017 state championships in volleyball, basketball,
baseball and softball.
Music/Fine Arts: The Macon East Academy drama department
hosts two yearly performances on campus and competes in AISA
region & state competitions annually. Art and journalism are also
offered.
College Prep: The Macon East curriculum stresses ACT prepa-
ration and college and career readiness. ACT Prep is offered as an
elective junior & senior year, and the school’s college and career
Counselor is very hands-on in offering all types of assistance to
make for a smooth transition to college.
