Carrie doesn ’ t hesitate to take the lead when it comes to things she cares about . She shares , “ I am captain of the varsity cheerleading team , I am on the core team at my youth group , and I am also part of the executive counsel in Spirit Club .” She has been on the varsity softball team since seventh grade , and the varsity cheer team since tenth grade ; she recently began playing varsity basketball . She adds , “ I was named an All-American cheerleader at cheer camp , and was an All-Metro honorable mention for softball . For both softball and basketball , I have received multiple sportsmanship and coaches awards .” In all that she does , Carrie wants to be remembered as “ being a friend , and someone who always uses kind words to make others feel welcome .”

Carrie shares , “ I want to be a mother and work as an elementary school teacher because I love kids . Ever since I was little , I always admired the thought of being a teacher . Now that I am about to finish high school , I have to start thinking about careers , and teaching is sticking out to me more and more . I have always loved children , and look forward to having a big family of my own . I figured that I can use my love for children in teaching elementary school .”
