Savana Griffin, Trent Jorgensen Selected
as Prattville Christian Academy’s
State Representatives
Savana Griffin was selected to represent Prattville Christian Academy at the
American Legion Auxiliary Alabama Girls State program, and Trent Jorgensen
was selected to represent Prattville Christian Academy at the 2017 session
of the American Legion Auxiliary Alabama Boys State. Students are chosen
based on demonstration of the following characteristics: leadership, hard
work, strong morals and motivation in school and community activities.
“Girls State was an almost indescribable experience for me,” said Griffin. “It
was no doubt the most amazing and rewarding experience of my summer.
It was incredible hearing from some of Alabama’s most influential people.
Getting the chance to talk with Alabama’s political and business leaders helped
me realize that the future is ours - we have the chance to change our future
into what we desire it to be.”
During his time, Jorgensen successfully campaigned for and was elected to
the office of Chief Justice - the presiding judge of their Supreme Court system.
“This opportunity gave me the chance to meet new people and make many
connections that will last a lifetime,” said Jorgensen. “I enjoyed competing in
the various debates, sporting events and community service projects.”
