About: Macon East Academy is an independent, college pre-
paratory school focused on excellence in academics, athletics,
and achievement. With 40 faculty and staff members serving 300
students, Macon East’s educational program prepares students
for success in college and beyond in a caring and nurturing
environment.
Class Size: Kindergarten-6th up to 20; 7th-12th up to 25
Academics: Macon East Academy offers a challenging college
preparatory curriculum. Beginning in our Pre-K and Kindergar-
ten programs, children are taught readiness skills that will carry
them through their elementary, junior high, and high school
years. Lower school classes focus on the core subjects of English,
Math, Reading, Science, Social Studies, and Spelling with enrich-
ment in the areas of computer, art, library, music and Spanish.
Elementary students also have daily physical education classes.
Beginning in 7th grade and continuing through senior year, stu-
dents will take 7 courses including core and elective classes. The
Macon East curriculum stresses ACT preparation and college &
career readiness. Honors and Advanced Placement classes are
available beginning freshman year.

Athletics: Macon East students are able to participate in over
18 interscholastic team sports including baseball, basketball,
cheerleading, football, golf, soccer, softball, and volleyball. Boys
in 3rd-6th grades may participate in interscholastic football,
while girls in K3-6th grades may participate in cheerleading.
Macon East has won numerous regional and state champion-
ships, and our coaches have received local and state recognition
for excellence in coaching. Our most recent athletic achieve-
ments include 5 in a row state championship titles for varsity
softball and volleyball, and AISA AA state titles in basketball and
baseball in 2017.
