Their mission is to ensure a quality education for traditional students by providing a family environment that embodies Christian values with small classes, a qualified faculty, a fully accredited academic program, and a safe learning environment. Autauga Academy has a strong history of community service, such as the food drive sponsored by the SGA, Operation Christmas Child, Care Packages for U.S. Troops, and the annual SGA blood drive. Class Size: Autauga Academy’s class sizes are small, with a student-to-teacher ratio of 16:1. Small classes mean more time for individual instruction. Academics: Autauga Academy boasts a rich academic heritage with students consistently outscoring the national average on standardized tests. High level classes are available to students, such as advanced English, chemistry, physics and up to the first level of calculus. With the new dual enrollment agreement with Troy University, students are able to take up to five dual enrollment classes in a calendar year, earning college credit while still in high school. Numerous academic competition opportunities are available, such as the AISA Technology Fair, Auburn University Robotics Competition, and more. College Prep: Autauga Academy ensures post-secondary suc- cess by offering a general and college preparatory curriculum. In addition to the college prep program and dual enrollment opportunities, Autauga Academy has a guidance counselor on staff to assist students in the college selection and application process. There is also an ACT prep course available to high school students which meets daily for one semester. Over 92% of Autauga Academy students go on to attend college and in 2015, thirty-one graduates received a total of $1,071,300 in scholarship offers at 13 different colleges and universities. Athletics: Autauga Academy offers several varsity athletics programs, including football, volleyball, basketball, baseball, softball, track, golf, soccer, cheerleading, and power weight lifting. Prospective college athletes receive assistance in the college selection and application process, and Autauga Academy athletes have gone on to play at Alabama, Troy, Judson, Faulkner, Vanderbilt, and others. L10 | Winter 2017 Fine Arts: A fine arts program is led by Mrs. Kim Meyer and is available through the senior high grades.
