Serving the Catholic parishes of the Montgomery metro area in the Archdiocese of Mobile, we welcome students of all faiths to apply to our program. At Montgomery Catholic, the adult community is committed to the success of each student and the education of the whole child. We have three distinct programs: elementary campuses at St. Bede and Holy Spirit (K4 - 6), a Middle School (7-8) and a High School (9-12). All campuses of Montgomery Catholic Prep- aratory School are accredited by AdvancEd. Montgomery Catholic students work hard in the classroom, play hard on the field, participate in extracurriculars, and are active members of the River Region community. No matter which setting Montgomery Catholic Preparatory School students are in, they are ambassadors of our school. They have respect for them- selves, their classmates, their teachers, and their families. Our students utilize their time at MCPS to prepare themselves for the next stage in their lives.The Montgomery Catholic students are well prepared to handle the challenges that may come their way. Class Size: Montgomery Catholic’s class size averages 18 students. Academics: An honors program is available to students who score well on the placement test and indicate prior achievement on transcripts. Advanced Placement (AP) courses are offered in the senior year in English, Art History, Physics, and Calculus, and American History in 11th grade. Elective classes and extra- curricular activities such as Engineering Essentials, Broadcast- ing, computer security, robotics, foreign languages, and service clubs are offered. College Prep: A full time counselor and a dedicated student activities coordinator help students with the college selection process. On average, 95-98 percent of our graduates attend col- lege with approximately half of those students receiving tuition scholarships. L4 | Winter 2017 Athletics: Montgomery Catholic is a member of the AHSAA, offering football, cheer, band, track and field/cross country, vol- leyball, basketball, wrestling, baseball, softball, golf, soccer, and tennis programs. Varsity coaches will help any student interested in pursuing athletics in college by reaching out to college coaches and friends at the university level. Music/Fine Arts: Montgomery Catholic offers art, band, and has expanded the choral and drama department; all are offered elementary through high school.
