About : A private military boarding academy for grades 6-12 , Lyman Ward prides itself in providing the best in academics , leadership , and athletics . A strong foundation of moral and ethical values develops young men of integrity , competence , and excellence who are prepared for the work of life .
Class Size : Classes of approximately 10-12 cadets create a unique academic environment to achieve the required learning objectives . In addition , Lyman Ward ’ s highly skilled faculty emphasizes a close relationship with cadets to encourage academic , personal , and spiritual growth .
Academics : Lyman Ward ’ s faculty averages 12 years of teaching experience at various public and private schools , and major colleges and universities . They are supported by athletic coaches and Teach Advise Counsel ( TAC ) Officers to implement study hours and co-curricular activities . Graduates from Lyman Ward continue to receive substantial academic , athletic , and ROTC scholarships to prominent colleges and universities , such as : the University of Alabama , University of Louisville , Marion Institute , and The Citadel .
Character Development : Lyman Ward ’ s goal is to prepare confident and motivated servant-leaders who contribute to the well-being of their community .
