Odion is actively involved in student life at LAMP- she is a student ambassador , holder of a Model United Nations Chair position , president of the Metamorphosis Club , member of the Spanish Club , and a volunteer for the school ’ s annual talent show . Academically , she excels in Spanish , an area of study she wishes to continue in college . She has earned both gold and silver medal distinctions on the National Spanish Exam , and placed third at the Alabama Federation of Spanish Clubs Performance Art Competition . She shares , “ I want to be remembered as the cool Nigerian girl who unapologetically expresses and pursues her passions .”

Odion plans on majoring in Public Health and minoring in Spanish on a Pre-Med track . After medical school , she plans to complete a residency in psychiatry and a fellowship in bariatric medicine . She explains , “ Oftentimes , people ignore the mental health components of a healthy weight loss / weight gain journey , which is how I plan to put my fellowship to use . Working at a national mental health facility , like the National Institute of Mental Health , is the ultimate goal !”
