Trinity’s Production of
High School Musical “Bops to the Top!”
Trinity’s production of High School Musical “bopped to the top” twith
sell-out performances on all three nights. Over 125 students participated
in this year’s annual spring musical, which marked Trinity’s 25th
production, all under the direction of Mrs. Mala Kelley. The cast of High
School Musical was one of the largest ever! Over 75% of the senior class,
over 60% of the junior class, and 35% of the sophomore class comprised
the cast and crew. Thirty-one students worked with Mrs. Becky Miller
and Mr. Robert Chandler in the Set Design and Construction class over
the last 7 months creating the sets for the grand musical.
At the conclusion of the final night’s performance, the Linda Shands
Award for Excellence in Drama was awarded to Sam Nunn. This award
is named in memory of sixth grade teacher, Linda Shands, and is voted
on by cast and crew for a three-year senior participant who reflects the
same spirit, encouragement and enthusiasm for performance that Mrs.
Shands shared with all who knew her.

Dedication is more than just a word to the five members of the Baldwin
Middle Magnet School Scholars’ Bowl Team. The five members come
to school early, stay after school, and even meet on their own for two
hours every Saturday morning at a local coffee shop to prepare for
competitions. All that hard work paid off when they were crowned
Alabama State Champions. The team will now go on to compete in the
national contest in Dallas, TX on May 13.
