She handles her responsibilities as Varsity Cheer Captain and member of various school clubs all while maintaining an above average GPA and taking advanced classes. What inspires her to devote so much effort to everything she is involved in? Kelsey credits her Grandmother and her Uncle Donny, who both have encouraged her to work hard and “never give up on God’s plan”. In addition to committing herself fully to cheerleading and academics, Kelsey volunteers as a tutor at Prattville Primary School and has also helped with the Relay for Life. what’s next Kelsey plans on following in her mother’s footsteps and majoring in Elementary/Special Education when she goes to college. PG (parental guidance) rating “My parents have made a major impact in my education and career choices. My mother specifically has influenced my career choice...watching how much she loves her job and how influential she is has encouraged me to pursue a degree in Elementary Education. My parents...have taught me that hard work is very important.” She thinks the most important value she has learned from her parents is how important strong family relationships are, which has helped her to have a strong bond with both her parents and her siblings. kelsey luker Montgomery, AL parents’ perspective Glenn and Pami Luker are inspired by Kelsey’s compassion for others and her ability to take charge as a leader to get the job done. They have always supported her and helped her to obtain the skills she needs to be successful. parent-to-parent Kelsey’s parents suggest that other parents stay involved in their children’s lives.
