We’re all people, and no one person is better than another.” her story As an award winning Model UN Participant and National Spanish Exam silver medalist, Savanna has showcased her hard work and desire to create her own path, no matter the risk. She is currently a member of the LAMP Model UN Team and Metamorphosis Club. Savanna draws her inspiration from her grandfather who she says, “has taught me to be kind to others and to remember that everyone has their own problems, so I should be friendly and understanding with everyone.” No matter what she is doing, Savanna tries to keep an open mind and be a person who stays true to herself. what’s next “I have no idea! There are so many options and so many things I want to try. Right now I want to be either an Elementary School teacher, a journalist, or a graphic designer, but that could all change by next week!” PG (parental guidance) rating Savanna appreciates that her parents are interested in the same things she is interested in. Her favorite thing about her dad is that “he is smart and knows a lot about random things. He’s always up for a debate or intellectual conversation with me.” “My mom is really youthful,” she adds, “and she’s fun to be around. We share clothes and makeup; we’re like best friends.” savanna pruitt Montgomery, AL parents’ perspective Savanna’s mother, Renea, admires her mental focus and strength. “She is very organized and focused even when the environment around her may be chaotic”, she says. Her parents add that “she has a beautiful heart and is always looking for ways to make others happy.” parent-to-parent Ted and Renea suggest that other parents encourage their children to do their best and to ask for help if needed.
