his story
Andrew is a member of several clubs and organizations at
ACA, including Cross Country, Track and Field, Key Club, and
Pep Club. Andrew shares, “The thing I find most inspirational
is success coming from hard work, whether it be something as
mundane as a student putting time and effort into a paper or
test, something as attention-grabbing as a professional athlete
putting hours of work into their sport, or something as impres-
sive as an entrepreneur starting their own business. I see these
things, and it drives me to work hard because I crave that drive
and ambition that these kind of people have.” When asked to
share something most people don’t know about him, Andrew
confided, “I watched every episode of Downton Abbey with my
sisters, and actually enjoyed it.”
what’s next
“I either want to become a marketing consultant for an outdoor
store, or sell insurance. What sparked my interest in marketing
and insurance is that they both are very social jobs, and require
a lot of interaction with people. I am a very big people person.
Both professions involve persuasion, for which I think I have
aptitude.”

PG (parental guidance) rating
“My family is very personable, and we truly engage with one
another when we are together. We also enjoy fellowship as
a family with others.” He believes the best advice he’s ever
received came from his dad: “A smart man learns from his
mistakes. A genius learns from someone else’s.”
parents’ perspective
Angie shares, “My son is a respectful, grateful young man. He
works hard in school, considers our yard his responsibility, does his
own laundry, and takes out the trash without being asked. I am so
blessed by his diligence and love.”
parent-to-parent
Angie and Roger share, “Enjoy the moment and be
available. The years we are given to be parents with our
children in our homes go very fast. If parents are not
intentional about training, before they realize it, the time has passed
them by.”
