She even has a perfect GPA! Why does she put in so much extra academic effort? Simply put, she has big plans to thrive in college. Whitney said, “ I understand that college isn’t for everyone, but college is definitely for me. I believe college will give me that boost I need to achieve my highest goals and dreams.” In addition to focusing on her education, Whitney is involved in several sports, namely volleyball and softball. She is a member of the ACA Varsity softball team and the Junior Varsity volleyball team. what’s next What does the future hold for Whitney? She wants to work in the medical field, most likely in Pharmacy or Nursing. Overall, Whitney wants to be remembered as a person who had a positive outlook on life and encouraged others. She said, “They both work very hard so my brother and I can attend a private Christian school and have all the things we need and want. When asked to tell about their daughter, they described her as a “sweet, caring, and genuine person.” Whitney’s self-motivation and desire to succeed stands out to her parents. parent-to-parent Whitney’s parents have always stressed the importance of education and a strong work ethic, pushing their daughter to challenge herself in all areas. While they do not feel that they have done anything out of the ordinary to contribute to her success, they do have one tip to offer: “We do try to be encouraging rather than discouraging and offer constructive criticism.
