ABOVE: Gathering around a table adds a little
“grown-up” element to the party. Encourage guests
to have a seat with a pretty place setting and
tempting menu card. We used craft store supplies
for easy, inexpensive placemats and placecards
made from cupcake wrappers. Carnations in every
shade of pink and purple turn plain glass vases
into a stunning centerpiece that is truly decor on
a dime. But consider splurging a bit on your menu
cards and on custom invitations — After all, the
invitations set the mood for the entire event! And
don’t forget who you’re sending them to; surround
your sweet 16 with friends and family who’ll make
them feel loved and celebrated on their special day.
