About: As part of the Alabama Community College System,
Southern Union has been an integral part of the educational
landscape in East Central Alabama since its inception. Southern
Union State Community College is an open admission, public
two-year college offering quality and relevant teaching that is
affordable, accessible, equitable, and responsive to the diverse
needs of students, community, business, industry, and govern-
ment.
