Academics: Associate in Arts (A.A.) or Associate in Science
(A.S.) degrees are offered for students who plan to attend a
senior institution for further study, but they are also suitable for
anyone wishing to continue their academic education beyond the
high school level. Associates in Applied Science Degree (A.A.S.),
or short-term certificates can be earned for completing
requirements in career technical programs.
Honors Program: Honors Program requires minimum ACT
scores of 18 in English, 20 in reading, and 20 in mathematics.

Unique Majors: LBWCC offers the only two-year forest
technology program in the state of Alabama, and plans to begin
an occupational therapist assistant program in 2019.
Cool Factors:
• The sandy white beaches of the Gulf Coast are within driving
distance for a day trip.
• A 9-hole golf course with 18 separate tee boxes is located on the
Andalusia Campus, as are a scenic walking trail, tennis course,
and the City of Andalusia’s Dream Park.
• Each campus enjoys an annual “Saints Day” event filled with
food, fun, and fellowship.
School Accolades: LBWCC and its supporting foundation
were named National Bellwether Finalists in 2014 for collabo-
ratively working with local, state, and federal government in the
planning, funding, and creation of student housing adjacent to
the Andalusia campus.
