Madelaine’s motto is: “I am on this earth to shine a light for
Jesus Christ.”
her story
At the young age of four, Madelaine and her family were forced
to evacuate their Louisiana home due to Hurricane Katrina.
They traveled to Tallassee to stay with family and have lived
there ever since. Madelaine started Kindergarten in the
Tallassee City School District, and has been thriving there for
her entire academic career. Her claim to fame is her love for
music, which began at the end of her sixth grade year.
Since then, she has grown to become quite a skilled musician.
She is a member of the Alabama All State Band and Choir, the
Montgomery Youth Orchestra and several other distinguished
organizations. When she isn’t doing something music-related,
she can be found participating in cross country/track and field,
Mu Alpha Theta, or her church’s youth group.
Through all she does, Madelaine explains that she wants to
be remembered as “someone who was different. Someone who
was known for her love for Jesus Christ.” She adds, “I want to
be different from this world, and not conform to this world. I
want people to see Jesus Christ in me.”
what’s next
“For a living, I want to educate kids through music.”

“My parents have inspired me to work hard in school and get
an education. They have inspired me to be the leader that I am,
and to be myself. My family is super close, and I am blessed to
have such a wonderful family.”
parents’ perspective
“What Danny and I admire most about Madelaine is how strong of
a young lady she is,” Cindy shares. “She is just one of those people
that works hard at everything she does. Even when she gets dis-
couraged, she becomes even more determined and pushes through.”
parent-to-parent
“The best advice we can give to other parents is to always
encourage your children to follow God; encourage them
to follow their values and never quit.”
