BEVILL STATE - Nursing Nursing The Nursing program is a five-semester program designed to prepare graduates to practice safe, competent, patient-centered care. The curriculum incorporates general education courses along with nursing courses, which in- cludes classroom instruction with guided clinical experiences in varied health care agencies. Nursing graduates have the opportunity to become Registered Nurses in the healthcare field after successful passage of the NCLEX-RN exam. Bevill State offers an Evening Nursing Program. Annual Salary Range: $45,000 - 55,000 NORTHEAST ALABAMA – HVACR Technician The Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Technology Program at Northeast Alabama Community College teaches the theories and principles of the operation of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVACR) equipment. Students will have an opportunity to take nationally recognized exams, as well as preparatory classes for the Alabama State Board of Heating and Air Conditioning contractor’s exam. According to the US Department of Labor Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment of HVACR technicians is projected to grow 15 percent through 2024, faster than the average for all occupations. Median Hourly Range: $18.04 SOUTHERN UNION – Plastics Injection Molding The Manufacturing Technology Associate of Applied Science program provides training in the plastics industry with both theory and hands-on applications. Through a unique partnership with Baxter International and Arburg, students are able to train in a simulated manufacturing environment where they receive practical instruction applicable to materials, processing and design engineering and have the opportunity to earn industry recognized stackable credentials from Basic Injection Molding, Mold Setter Skills to Process Technician. Annual Salary Range: $26,000 - 55,000 NORTHWEST-SHOALS - Industrial Systems Technology The Industrial Systems Technology program at Northwest-Shoals Community College offers a two-year associate degree, career, and short-term certificate programs. This program trains students to maintain mechanical drives, hydraulic/pneumatic drives, and electrical systems. Graduates are typically entry-level technicians that install, service, and repair instrumentation and equipment. Annual Salary Range: $40,000 - 80,000 CENTRAL ALABAMA - Automotive Manufacturing Technology The Automotive Technology program career path is a multi-craft technical training program that begins with the basics of Industrial Maintenance and continues to prepare the students for a career maintaining the automation and robotics of modern industry through training in AC and DC theory to hydraulic and pneumatic equipment. Students will also learn to program the Allen Bradley SLC-500, Micrologix 5000 PLC’s, Fanus, Motoman, and ABB robots. An AUT graduate is prepared to work within several industries.
