How to get here
Airport Transfer City Transport Sunway Canopy Walk
The most convenient way to travel from
the Kuala Lumpur International Airport
(KLIA) would be by taxi. A less expensive
alternative would be the KLIA Ekspres train
service, which makes a direct journey to
KL Sentral in 28 minutes. KL Sentral is the
country’s largest transit hub and is home
to an integrated rail transportation centre. The nearest Light Rapid Transit
(LRT) stop to Monash University
Malaysia is the USJ7 station, near
the Sunway BRT station of the
same name. The LRT will connect
you to many places in and around
Greater Kuala Lumpur, including
Petaling Jaya, KL Sentral, the
Petronas Twin Towers, and other
parts of the Kuala Lumpur central
business district. This elevated walkway connects our
campus to the Sunway Pyramid
shopping mall. It takes about 15-20
minutes to walk from the main
campus gate to the mall’s side
entrance. The Canopy Walk is open
daily from 7am to 12 midnight (except
on public holidays) and monitored by
close-circuit television cameras.
From KL Sentral
Take the KTM train (available at KL Sentral)
and alight at the Setia Jaya station. Once
there, look for the Sunway Bus Rapid
Transit (BRT) station and board the electric
bus. Alight at the Sun-U Monash BRT
station, where our campus is located.
Buses on the Sunway BRT system operate
on a five-minute interval from 6am to
12midnight daily.
Within Sunway City
The Sunway BRT electric bus service will
take you to key locations including
healthcare (Sunway Medical Centre), retail
(Sunway Pyramid Shopping Mall),
recreation (Sunway Lagoon), restaurants
and cafes (Sunway Mentari), education
(Monash University and Sunway
University), private residences (South
Quay), and walking distance to city train
services interchange (from BRT to KTM
and LRT trains).
Parking
If you’re driving to campus,
there are several parking facilities
available. The Eastern Carpark is
free on a first-come-first-served
basis while the Western Car Park
is pay-per-entry. You can also
opt to park at BRT Sunway Park
N’ Ride on an hourly rate or
pre-paid season pass.

You can also get around Sunway City with the free
Sunway Shuttle Bus Service, which runs every 60
minutes (subject to traffic conditions). The
operation hours are as follows:
Monday to Saturday: 0700 to 2215
Sunday: 0900 to 2215
