Becoming an actuary can be demanding, but in this extended program, you will develop
beyond the core technical knowledge, enabling you to work across diverse industries, from
insurance and superannuation through to banking and healthcare. You’ll have the opportunity
to obtain exemptions from the professional examinations of the Actuaries Institute Australia.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
A recognised Bachelor degree (or equivalent) majoring
in Actuarial Studies, Econometrics, Mathematics or
Statistics with a credit average grade (65% or higher), as
determined by UNSW Business School.
RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING
Up to four courses (24 UOC) may be awarded based
on previous studies in Actuarial Studies (Bachelor or
higher).
PROFESSIONAL RECOGNITION
Actuaries Institute Australia – Part I, Part II and/or Part III
(7A Enterprise Risk Management); Institute and Faculty
of Actuaries (UK) – Core Technical (CT) 1-8 subjects;
Society of Actuaries (USA) – Validation by Educational
Experience (VEE).
