“Our programmes build scientific skills and awareness
of the issues relevant to our sustainable development,
health and quality of life. As one of our students you
will experience an excellent quality of teaching from
world-leading academics. Proud of the positive impact
our research continues to have on the world today; we
welcome you to be part of this.”
Professor Jonathan Wastling - Pro Vice-Chancellor and
Executive Dean Faculty of Natural Sciences
We are renowned for our interdisciplinary and
multidisciplinary approach, and our Faculty of
Natural Sciences is central to building scientific
skills and awareness of the issues relevant to
both our sustainable development and quality
of life for today and all our futures.
We integrate world-class research with the very best teaching
and the latest innovations. Natural Sciences is inherently
interdisciplinary. Our strength is in the crossover between science
subjects that has sparked much national and international research,
which we use to constantly inform and update our curriculum, to
challenge and benefit our students.
It is exciting times too; with the increasing popularity of sciences at
Keele, we are in the middle of a large capital investment programme
totalling approximately £45M. Our students will benefit from the
brand new state of the art Life Sciences teaching laboratories
opening in September 2017, with associated research facilities. In
addition to this, plans for multi-user science teaching laboratories,
housed within a new build are scheduled for completion by
September 2019.
