NAPLES CONCERT BAND ANNOUNCES ITS 46TH SEASON SCHEDULE e Naples Concert Band (www.NaplesConcertBand.org), a non- profit organization dedicated to enter- taining the community with enriching live musical performances in Cambier Park, is pleased to announce its 46th sea- son schedule. Under the direction of Harris Lanzel, Naples Concert Band’s 46th sea- son will feature powerful soloists and un- forgettable music with seven regular concerts in the park at Cambier Park and two special joint concerts with the Bonita Springs Concert Band. Each per- formance will highlight special guest soloists as well as an exciting mix of new works and old favorites.   In addition, e Band's tubas and euphoniums will perform at TUBA Christmas on 5th Av- enue South in December. “e NCB and its audience have grown exponentially over the past several years. Be prepared to have a great mu- sical experience whether you are a faith- ful follower of our band or are attending one of our concerts for the first time. Bring your family and friends and enjoy the sights and sounds of a Sunday after- noon concert in beautiful Cambier Park,” said Lanzel. The Naples Concert Band kicks off its 46th season on Sunday, October 15, with a Concert in the Park that will fea- ture impressive soloists, classic band lit- erature, movie themes, Broadway show tunes, and of course traditional marches. Special performances by the vocal trio of Lisa Federico, Jenny BIntliff, and Craig Greusel singing se- lections from Oliver; clarinet soloist Paul Votapek, principal clarinetist with The Naples Philharmonic, performing the Artie Shaw Clarinet Concerto; and the NCB clarinet section in Clarinet Candy will be included. On Sunday, November 12, guests will enjoy a patriotic performance that will highlight our American heritage and honor our United States service men and 30 PORTFOLIO MAGAZINE women with a very emotional and mem- orable concert. Don’t miss vocalist Craig Greusel singing Star Spangled Salute, America My Homeland and the Armed Forces Salute. A narration entitled I Am the American Flag will round out this performance. e December 3 Concert in the Park will provide the perfect music for this year’s holiday celebration including the vocal quartet of Amy Bright, Jenny Bintliff, Craig Greusel, and Ross Shaver singing A Christmas Celebration, Christmas on Broadway, and Leroy An- derson’s A Christmas Festival. e 22nd annual TUBA Christmas event will include over 50 musicians and tubas, euphoniums, baritone, and more, all on the Sugden Plaza on December 14. is show promises to be exciting with a proclamation from the mayor; and prizes for best, most interesting, funniest, and seasonal costumes on the musicians. e first concert of the New Year will take place on January 14 and will feature professional entertainer Cindy Miller singing several Natalie Cole songs and world renowned trombonist Harry Wat- ters performing a variety of solos includ- ing Embraceable You and Cherokee.   e February 11 Concert in the Park will be one for the history books, with guests including Broadway vocalist Mark Sanders singing a medley of Barry Manilow hits and violinist Glenn Basham, concert master for e Naples Philharmonic, back by popular demand! On Sunday, March 4, the dynamic vocal duo of Carolann Sanita and Gerritt VanderMeer singing Andrew Lloyd Webber’s A Concert Celebration and fan favorite - pianist Joshua Ross. And, the final regular Concert in the Park of the season will take place on Sun- day, March 24. Don’t miss popular area vocalist Wendy Renee singing Georgia on My Mind and ey Can't Take at Away from Me and flutist Julie Meschko performing on both piccolo and flute. In April, the Naples Concert Band and the Bonita Springs Concert Band will present not one, but two Commu- nity Band Spectacular Concerts! On Sunday, April 15, they will perform at Cambier Park and on Sunday, April 22, they will perform in Bonita Springs. These two exciting Community Band
