doned Vehicles team has re-discovered dozens of these forgotten relics. Model T’s, military vehicles, construction cranes, busses, automobiles, vans, air- planes; vehicles representing every decade and wheel configuration since the motorized ‘horseless carriage’ was in- vented were driven and flown through one of the most important wetland ecosystems in North America, which covers an area as far North as Shingle Creek near Orlando to the shores of Bis- cayne Bay in Miami, and for a variety of reasons abandoned and forgotten. During the photographic process, Matt Stock guides the team in the meticulous illumination of the vehicle and its natural environs using light ranging from the full moon to special- ized lighting tools through the course of many hours and dozens of individual exposures. He then digitally combines elements of each of these exposures into a single luminous composition.  e opening Vernissage is Decem- ber 5th from 6pm to 10pm in the Cortile Loggia. During Art Week /Art Basel, the installation will also be open to the public in the hotel's Ma- jorca Ballroom from December 6- 10th from 10am to 6pm. Now, fully re-inserted into the art world that the Biltmore Hotel cele- brated in the 1920’s, it will be inter- esting to see what the storied resort will come up with next. PORTFOLIO MAGAZINE 53
