Rebecca Branstetter graduated in May 2014 from Northern Arizona
University with degrees in English-Secondary Education and
Psychology. Rebecca is currently working on her MA degree at the
University of Arizona, where she is studying Counseling. In addition to
her studies, Rebecca enjoys hiking, watching old musicals, and spending
time with her many nephews and nieces. Scare the Hell out o f Them is
Rebecca’s first published paper—^hopefully one of many to come.
M aura Grady is an Assistant Professor of English at Ashland University
in Ohio. She holds a PhD from University of California at Davis in
English with emphases in Film Studies and Gender Studies. Her
scholarly work includes Film and Television Studies, Fan Culture,
Gender Studies, Popular Culture Studies, and Composition and
Pedagogy. Her current research is focused on the intersection between
Fan Culture and Film-Induced Tourism. Maura’s other publications
include, “Story and Structure in Mister Rogers Neighborhood’s Operas,”
“The Maternal Hero in Quentin Tarantino’s Kill Bill,” “Nostalgia for
Empire 1963-1974” co-authored with Cassie Hemstrom, “The Fall of the
Organization Man: Loyalty and Conflict in the First Season of Mad
Men,” and several book reviews.
