Excellence in Capital Investment Bridges to Progress In 2009, the City of Arlington celebrated a major milestone in the Interstate 30 Mobility Project. The I-30 project remains a high priority for the region for improving mobility and air quality in North Texas. High above the interstate, local, state and regional officials dedicated the new Center Street bridge on March 23. The new Center Street bridge opened in 2009 as the first of three bridges to be completed as part of more than $165 million in mobility improvements along I-30 from Ballpark Way to Cooper Street. “In today’s economy, I’m saving money.
